Join The Magnolia School for a fun week of cooking and kitchen science! Campers will be fully immersed in all things food including where it comes from, how to prepare it, how to create a meal plan and menu, how to present food and how to serve to a group. Cooking campers will create a restaurant inception/ idea from beginning to end. The week will begin by learning about foods from around the world and specific themes. Students will then collaborate and create their own ideas including decor of a restaurant and developing a menu. Through the week the students will explore the kitchen and foods that they interested in. They will prepare food from learning knife skills (w/ safety knives) they will learn to mix, stir, blend flavors, bake and sauté. What a wonderful thing.. to learn to feed your family and friends. I consider cooking an art and look forward to sharing it with the students!
