Minecraft Camp a huge success

Many thanks to all the families involved in making Minecraft Camp such a HUGE success. Thirty-eight Minecrafters attended, representing nearly every elementary school in Leon County! Campers spent the day playing lots of Minecraft, and doing Minecraft art and cooking projects. Campers also helped honor Dr. King and the National Day of Service by putting together kits of personal items for use by the Homeless Coalition.

Extra special thanks to the counselors—Paige Brey, Lerena Fleck, Sue Ray, and Jenn Branham, and to our great technical support, Sunshine Jacobs and Doug Rusmisell. And kudos to our wonderful junior counselors: Max Brey, Jeremie Speer, Zola Ray, Cyrus Countryman, Jaron Davis, Ryan Dirksen, Sancia Birck, Naylen Easterling, Genevieve Jacobs and Jewel Money. Thanks to everyone’s hard work, the one-day camp raised over $1,300 for the Middle School Thespians!
